William Saliba is “happy at Marseille” and he is expecting there to be “discussions” regarding his Arsenal future during the summer.
The Frenchman signed for Arsenal in 2019 from Saint-Etienne. He is yet to make his senior debut for the Gunners.
Over the past couple of years, Saliba has had spells on loan at Saint-Etienne and Nice in Ligue 1.

The 20-year-old joined Marseille on loan ahead of the 2021/22 campaign.
He has been in great form for the French outfit this season as he has been one of the standout young players in Ligue 1.
It was reported earlier this week that Saliba was ‘open’ to joining Marseille permanently.
Saliba was asked about his future on Thursday. He insisted that he is not currently thinking about his next move:
“The only thing that I can tell you is that I am happy at Marseille, that is positive. I like the city, the club, the supporters, the team… everything is going well,” Saliba said (via GFFN)
“I do not know what will happen in six months. Last year, when I was at Nice at the same time, I did not know that I would be playing for Marseille.
“Things go so fast in football. I don’t want to think about the future. I am going to give my all. Then there will be discussions in the summer.”
Elsewhere, Reiss Nelson is currently on loan at Feyenoord. Their manager Arne Slot has admitted that he “expected a higher yield” from the Arsenal starlet:
“The talent is there, but what Reiss still struggles with is creating big chances for himself or his teammates,” Slot said (via Sport Witness).
“You see a lot of skill, speed and agility, but the final push is still missing. Then it’s just not a finish or just not an assist.
“The most difficult thing in football is to get the best out of your play. And if you play for Feyenoord, where you often end up in a promising position as a winger, you expect a higher yield.
“I don’t think he is much of a goal scorer anyway. I don’t see him doing that much in training either, but at Hoffenheim, in the Bundesliga, he scored seven goals. That’s excellent.
“I did notice that against NEC, he looked for his direct opponent when he had the ball, which was lacking in the game with Vitesse. I think Reiss is much more of a preparer than a finisher, and I’m convinced he’ll show he can do better.”
