Arsenal have turned their attention to Sassuolo star Gianluca Scamacca as they continue their search for a new striker.
The Gunners have focused their attention on attempting to lure Dusan Vlahovic to the Emirates in January, but the Serbia international has opted to join Juventus, whos truck a £62million deal with Fiorentina.

Mikel Arteta and Edu have also been sounding Alexander Isak out, but the Real Sociedad striker is unsure as to whether a move to Arsenal is right for him at this stage in his career.
Dejan Kulusevski is another player that’s been linked with Arsenal, but Tottenham appear to have stolen a march on their north London rivals in the chase for the Juventus forward.
At risk of signing no new forwards, FC Inter News (via The Boot Room) claim Arsenal are now considering a move for Scamacca.
The 23-year-old has scored nine goals in 23 games for the Serie A side this season, and got his first cap for Italy earlier in the campaign.
But the same report also states that Inter Milan have already prepared a contract for Scamacca, who is thought to be more open to a switch to the Nerazzurri.
Arsenal’s search for a new striker has come in the wake of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang being forced to train away from the first team after a number of disciplinary issues.
Barcelona and Juventus are said to have made loan approaches for the Gabon international, but former Arsenal midfielder Ray Parlour claims Aubameyang should be given another chance by Arteta.
“Of course they need him. But you’ve also got to show your dominance as a manager and say you can’t be doing stuff – especially when you have a young team.
“As a captain you’ve got to set a good example, which is very important.
“I’d look up to Tony Adams back in the day and he set the example – and not by going to the pub by the way – but by being on time and making sure when you wear that shirt you play for the team.
“Stuff like that you learn as you go along.
“But the young players will look at that and see he’s turning up late and not doing this and will be thinking; ‘Can we do that as well?’
“It’s not a good look for Arsenal Football Club. Arteta’s come down strong on him and now it’s all about the reaction, for me. I’d give him another chance because he’s that good and can score you goals.”
