Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is only focusing on their next opponents Norwich rather than chasing title rivals Manchester City.
The Reds currently find themselves nine points behind City in the Premier League but do have a game in hand as they look to close the gap on Pep Guardiola’s side.
An XI of players we can’t believe started the opening weekend
However, Liverpool boss Klopp is only focusing on the challenge posed by Norwich, who he admits he has admiration for.
“I have a lot of respect for Daniel Farke. Dean [Smith] has come in and he has done well because he is good. It’s a really good football-playing side.
“They don’t often get the results and that’s why they have the points tally they have, but they will not stop believing in staying in the league and I admire that.
“It’s a very positive style and if you let them play, then they play. If you give them the chance to get behind your back line, they will go as they have proper speed there.

“We have to try and avoid these passes in behind and we have to make sure we have a proper set-up for that. We played on Wednesday [against Inter Milan] and only came back yesterday because of the wind and now we play again. So for different reasons, it’s a difficult game for us.”
Ahead of the clash, Klopp admitted he is unsure of who will be available after a busy week and amongst all his problems, Manchester City are the smallest one he faces.
“We only came back yesterday because of the wind and now we play tomorrow. I hope for the support that the crowd push us even more.
“I could have watched football last night but avoided it and then realised tomorrow is another game, with the intensity of the game like the last one.
“The information you get a day after the game are the injuries, and two days are the niggles, so I have no idea yet who will line-up. We should have good options but we do not know.
“Of all the problems I have, the smallest one is [chasing] Manchester City. There is not one day of the week I see that. We only have to win our football games and then we will see if we come close or not.
“On the other side, we fight for the Champions League [qualification] spot. You can solve all of your problems by winning football games.”
