Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp insists nothing has changed and the plan is still the same when asked about his future at Liverpool.
The German has been in charge at Anfield since 2015 but his current contract is up in 2024 and Klopp has done little to confirm if he would extend his stay.
Cheeky tips Leeds loss, Salah goal, Arsenal win
Klopp said: “The plan is still the same. Nothing has changed and if I decide to in 24 (either way) it’ll be nothing to do with the quality of the squad.
“All we do is for the long term. This club must be even better when I am not here anymore. That’s the plan.”
Liverpool are on the back of Carabao Cup glory at Wembley last weekend as they look to compete for three more competition this season and Klopp has admitted that the win over Chelsea has added to their desire to win more.
“The boys are confident. We were confident before.
“I think the big difference is it’s been a while since we had a big final.
“Experiencing that on Sunday was pretty cool so we want that more. It felt no different to the Champions League final. We want that more often. Doesn’t mean it’ll happen but we try.”

“We give it all we have but the only problem is so do other teams. City are here and we push each other to a high level. We don’t set ourselves a limit. Maybe we could have won more but we’ve been unlucky at points. Is there a competition? Yes, we try to win it.”
Summer signing Ibrahima Konate has impressed even since his move from RB Leipzig and Klopp has claimed their is even more to come from the French defender.
“His quality helps, obviously.
“He has all the skills you need to be a good centre half.
“Always like it is with young boys, sometimes your concentration level drops here and there.
“He can be so much better, but he is really good so that helps.”
Konate joins Virgil van Dijk, Joel Matip and Joe Gomez as Liverpool’s centre-back options and the Liverpool boss has revealed that their close relationships off the field are helping their performances on the field.
“Our centre halves have a sensational relationship so they all learn from each other and help each other. They don’t play other positions so that helps and they are so close.”
