Tottenham winger Bryan Gil completes loan switch to Valencia

La Liga side Valencia have signed Tottenham Hotspur winger Bryan Gil on loan until the end of the season.

Gil arrived at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the summer transfer window as Spurs paid £21m as part of a swap deal for Erik Lamela, who joined Sevilla.

The Spaniard hasn’t started a Premier League match with Gil already playing under both Nuno Espirito Santo and Antonio Conte so far this campaign.

No hiding place for Arteta after this Arsenal exodus

The 20-year-old has played 18 times in all competitions with his seven starts coming in the Europa Conference League, FA Cup and League Cup.

After struggling for consistent game time this term, the Spaniard has joined Valencia on a six-month loan.

A Valencia club statement read: “Valencia CF have reached an agreement with Tottenham Hotspur for the signing of winger Bryan Gil on loan until the end of the season.

Bryan Gil:

“Hopefully I will be able to score a lot of goals here for Tottenham Hotspur.”

“I can tell you for sure I will be contributing with a lot of hard work and effort."

“Gil will join up with the Valencia CF squad and coach José Bordalás this Tuesday for his first training session.”

Meanwhile, Everton will sign Dele Alli from Tottenham before the end of the January transfer window, according to reports.

Alli looks likely to leave Spurs today after finding himself not included in Antonio Conte’s plans at the club, with Newcastle and the Toffees both linked over the January transfer window.

Spurs boss Conte has been attempting to rebuild the squad this month with a number of players linked with moves away from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Alli has found himself as a peripheral figure in north London over the last couple of seasons after initially bursting onto the scene after signing from MK Dons in 2015.

He scored 50 Premier League goals in his first five seasons at Spurs but has scored just once in his last two seasons.

And now transfer expert Fabrizio Romano claims that a dela for Alli could cost Everton €40m (£33.3m) depending on Alli and the club’s performances.

It’s an initial free transfer with ‘€12m after 20 games and bonuses for next years’ with the two clubs ‘now signing contracts’.
