West Ham 3-2 Liverpool: 25-game unbeaten run ended by the Hammers

Liverpool’s 25-game unbeaten run across all competitions has come to an end at the hands of West Ham United at the London Stadium.

The Hammers went in front inside the opening ten minutes at the London Stadium. Pablo Fornals’ corner was knocked into his own net by Alisson.

Liverpool equalised before the break as Trent Alexander-Arnold netted a sensational free-kick to equalise.

Ten times managers were frosty at the final whistle

West Ham went back ahead in the second half. Fornals got their second after being set up by Jarrod Bowen. Alisson got a touch on his effort but he could not keep it out.

The hosts got their third just seven minutes later. It came via another corner as Kurt Zouma headed home at the back post.

Divock Origi came off the bench to equalise for his side in the 82nd minute. His left-footed effort got the better of Lukasz Fabianski from inside the penalty area.

West Ham were able to hang on to earn all three points as they move above Liverpool to go third in the Premier League.
