Premier League side Arsenal continue to try to break the door down in their attempts to sign Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic, according to reports in Italy.
Vlahovic has emerged as one of the most in-demand strikers in Europe amidst his terrific form for Fiorentina in Serie A.
The 21-year-old has scored 18 goals in 21 appearances in all competitions this term after an impressive 2020/21 campaign in which he netted 21 times in the league.

Arsenal and Spurs have emerged as the main two candidates for Vlahovic’s signature with the Gunners ‘ready to pay’ £68m for the Serbian in January.
A report yesterday insisted that Tottenham could ditch their pursuit of Fiorentina star to try and buy Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea, while Man Utd have also been linked with Vlahovic.
But Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport claim that Arsenal are pulling out all the stops to ensure Vlahovic chooses them and have made ‘mind-boggling’ offers to get him to sign.
Arsenal are trying ‘everything’ to sign Vlahovic and Fiorentina would rather sell to the Premier League club than risk the striker signing for rivals Juventus.
But the main sticking point seems to be Serbia international’s desire to see out the season at Fiorentina with Gazzetta adding that barring any ‘sensational and unpredictable shocks’ Vlahovic will stay with Viola until the summer.
The former Partizan Belgrade youngster recently insisted that he wanted to bring European football to Florence before leaving the club.
“I have stated this several times in the past, a beautiful football story is being made here in Florence,” Vlahovic said.
“We have a good team, great football players and great support from the fans. They all deserve respect.
“Only God knows what will happen in the next period of my career, but my wish is to bring Fiorentina to Europe, because we have not been in Europe for a long time.
“I don’t know what can happen overnight. We’ll see.”
On potentially signing a new contract, Vlahovic added: “Never say never. But at the moment I am focused on winning matches.”
