Former Premier League striker Darren Bent has urged Chelsea to sign Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba.
Having joined Juventus for free in 2012 and rejoined for a world-record fee four years later, Pogba will again be leaving Old Trafford this summer unless he signs an extended contract.
The 28-year-old has been the subject of widespread speculation throughout his time at United, with the midfielder saying he could be ready for a new challenge in 2019 and agent Mino Raiola making numerous comments about his client.
Vlahovic, Arsenal and the fine line between ambition and fantasy
Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly started talks about a summer switch with the France international, who returned to training earlier this month for the first time since sustaining a thigh injury in November.
With a summer move on the cards, former Tottenham striker Bent has urged Chelsea to make a surprise move for Pogba.
This is due to the player’s midfield partnership with Blues star N’Golo Kante for the French national side.
Kante and Pogba won the World Cup together in 2018, with the latter scoring in the 4-2 win against Croatia in the final.
“If they were to sign him… wow!”
“When Paul Pogba plays alongside Kante, he looks a completely different player!”

Bent said on talkSPORT: “When Paul Pogba plays alongside Kante, he looks a completely different player!
“If they were to go and sign him, Chelsea, wow, that midfield three. But again, he doesn’t really score enough goals.”
When asked if he would get more time on the ball if he played in midfield for Chelsea alongside Kante, he responded: “Yeah, he would.”
Meanwhile, Ralf Rangnick is ready to allow four Red Devils players to leave this month ahead of the January transfer deadline, according to reports.
Anthony Martial and Amad Diallo have already been allowed to leave this month on loan deals.
And ESPN claim that Rangnick ‘open to as many as four first team players leaving Manchester United in January’ with the German ‘relaxed about the prospect of also losing Jesse Lingard and Donny van de Beek’.
Lingard is yet to make a Premier League start this season for Man Utd and Newcastle are trying to strike a loan deal but the Red Devils are reportedly asking for a £12m survival bonus, which the Geordies aren’t prepared to pay.
While Van de Beek is the subject of strong loan interest from Crystal Palace and a number of other clubs but talks are ongoing.
