Manchester United have been desperate to sign a new man to plug the hole in the centre of their midfield for a number of seasons and Aston Villa’s John McGinn is the latest player to be linked with a move to Old Trafford.
McGinn moved to Villa from Hibernian in 2018 and has performed superbly. He’s played 130 games for the Midlands club over the past three-and-a-half seasons as they’ve achieved promotion from the Championship and established themselves in the top flight.
McGinn has also won 42 caps for Scotland, scoring 11 times and helping them to Euro 2020, where they were unfortunately knocked out at the group stage.
