Atalanta manager Gian Piero Gasperini has admitted he told Cristiano Ronaldo to “go to hell” after his brace stopped the Italian outfit secure a win against Man Utd.
Ronaldo was on target in the 91st minute to rescue a draw for the Red Devils, jumping the Premier League side from third to first in their Champions League group.
The Portugal captain was also on target in first-half stoppage time as he bailed out another subpar display from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.

It was the third European match in a row that Ronaldo scored late on to save his team, after goals against Villarreal and the Italians at Old Trafford.
Tuesday’s draw was a positive result for United, but has left Atalanta in a difficult situation in their attempt to qualify for the first knockout round.
“At the end of the match I spoke with Ronaldo,” Gasperini explained (quotes via the Express).
“He’s an incredible player, some even call him a problem. That’s a nice problem to have. Nine out of 10 times his shots on target, five of them are goals.
“I told him, ‘You know what we say in Italy? Go to hell’.”
He added: “In the Champions League, great players can change a game that you deserved to win and then don’t.”

Ferdinand told BT Sport: “I thought he took liberties a few times, he was a bit sloppy. Sometimes you just need to be told ‘sharpen up, play one or two touch’.
“He needs to be telling himself and he didn’t do well enough. There are not those [critical] conversations going on in our changing room.”
Scholes added: “He needs somebody talking to him all the time, someone there who he totally respects and is experienced.
“He is a really experienced player but he will get to 35 and will be doing the same stupid stuff – stud-rolling the ball and people know it.
“The biggest thing with the player is his concentration – he goes away with the fairies sometimes.”
