Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp claims that everyone working at their training ground has been “at least double vaccinated”.
The Premier League has reintroduced Covid emergency measures across all clubs and added in extra testing in the wake of a season-high 42 positive Covid cases being recorded last week and amid worldwide concern over the highly transmissible Omicron variant of the virus.
Any player or member of staff must take a lateral flow test in their car before entering a training ground, and PCR tests will be administered at least twice a week.

The league has not published vaccination rates among players since October, but is conscious of the importance of vaccination in the current climate and is reviewing the data with a view to providing an update.
And Klopp has revealed that all of the staff and players at the Liverpool training ground have been fully vaccinated with a booster dose on the way.
Klopp told reporters: “The whole vaccination thing is, for me, a question of solidarity, loyalty and togetherness.
“We all have the chance to help not only ourselves but other people as well by getting vaccinated. There is only one answer — you do it. That’s how I understand it.
“Everyone working at the AXA training ground is at least double vaccinated and will get the booster as soon as possible.”

The Liverpool boss added: “It is important to support the measures. I am earlier on the training ground than most of the players and am tested before the players arrive. When it is negative we are allowed to enter. Yesterday we were all negative and we hope it’s the same today.
“We are like the while world, concerned about it and we do what we can. The vaccination status of the team is quite good. Hopefully we can do it with the whole team.”
On whether the vaccination status of players could impact on who they may sign in the future, Klopp continued: “I have not thought about it yet to be honest.
“Who knows where we will be and the situation in the world when we start signing players again. That is not important at the moment. The whole vaccination thing is a massive question of solidarity. We have a chance to help not only ourselves but other people as well.”
