Jesse Lingard could have a chance under Ralf Rangnick at Man Utd but Kevin Campbell thinks he is potentially “hell-bent on leaving” the club.
Lingard enjoyed a terrific spell on loan at West Ham during the second half of last season, but decided to stay and fight for a place in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side this term.
Game time has remained limited for the 28-year-old, however. He has only played 88 minutes in the league, and his only start has come in a Carabao Cup defeat to the Hammers.

Lingard – who has been linked with a January move to Newcastle – has spent 22 years at Man Utd, and next summer will likely bring an end to his lengthy stay at the Premier League club.
There have been rumours that Lingard recently abandoned talks to sign a new contract and will definitely leave the club at the end of the season on a free transfer.
Despite reportedly wanting to leave, Campbell thinks Rangnick’s arrival at Old Trafford last week gives Lingard a new opportunity to become a regular at Man Utd.
Campbell told Football Insider: “I think there is light at the end of the tunnel for Jesse Lingard.
“The style of play Ralf Rangnick wants will suit Lingard. He is an incredible player and an incredibly fit player. He can get around the pitch. I think he is more suited to that style of football than some of the others that are in there.
“His contract situation is difficult though. That might prove to be a problem. He only has six months left on his contract. He is going to be a free agent in the summer.
“You cannot rely on him if they cannot negotiate a new long-term deal. Maybe he is hell-bent on leaving.”
Meanwhile, West Ham coach Stuart Pearce doesn’t think Lingard will be short of suitors in the summer if he leaves Man Utd.
Pearce told talkSPORT: “I think Jesse, from what he showed last year, will be linked with varying clubs and there’s no doubt about that. The frustrating thing for him is that he came to us, played really well and managed to get himself back into the England fold again.
“He’s dropped out of it at the moment and dropped out of the England fold as well. From his point of view, I’m sure he will be looking at the World Cup in less than a year’s time and thinking what do I have to do and where do I have to play my football.
“All we know is he’s a United player at the moment, I think he’s out of contract next summer and I’m sure he’ll have one or two suitors.
“He did himself no harm coming to us when he did and the form he showed.”
