According to reports, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is keeping a ‘close eye’ on Hoffenheim youngster Christoph Baumgartner.
Liverpool and Manchester United were first linked with the 22-year-old last summer.
This was after he impressed for Austria at the European Championships. He scored the winner against Ukraine to help his nation reach the knockout stages of the tournament.

The versatile midfielder has played 29 times for Hoffenheim this season across all competitions. He has netted six times in the Bundesliga.
SportBild (via Sport Witness) are reporting that Baumgartner’s contract expires in 2025 and that he has a €30m release clause.
Liverpool and Man Utd both ‘have him on their list’ of targets. It is even stated that Klopp is maintaining a ‘close eye’ on the Austrian.
The interest in the midfielder is said to be ‘huge’ and the player is ‘considering’ his future.
Elsewhere, Liverpool defender Andy Robertson says that the prospect of Luis Diaz getting any better is “scary” as he is already “pretty special”.
The Colombia international swapped Porto for the Reds in the January transfer window for a fee that could rise to as much as £49m depending on potential add-ons.
Diaz has already fit into Jurgen Klopp’s side seamlessly as Liverpool continue their quest for an unprecedented Quadruple, having already won the League Cup earlier this season.
“He has been special. We’ve tried to help him as much as we can, all the players. We know how difficult it is coming in in January,” Robertson said.
“The coaches and everyone else have got him up to speed but he is a special, special player. The talent he has and the will to win – he just fits us perfectly.
“It was tough to take (Diogo) Jota off, I think he has been excellent this season, but Luis came on and made a big, big difference.
“He played on the left, started pushing them back, dribbling the ball and everything. A really good half from him.
“He’s been special since he came in and it’s been a pleasure to play with him. Hopefully he will only get better.
“With a full pre-season under his belt, I believe he will get better, which is scary, but what he has produced in the here and now is pretty special as well.”
