Ruben Loftus-Cheek insists Chelsea are ready to get their “revenge” when they face Liverpool in the FA Cup final next month.
The Blues gave themselves one last shot of silverware this season by beating Crystal Palace 2-0 on Sunday in their FA Cup semi-final after crashing out of the Champions League in midweek to Real Madrid.
Substitute Loftus-Cheek climbed off the bench to open the scoring in the 68th-minute before Mason Mount adding a second to seal victory and set up a final with Liverpool.
No hiding Loftus-Cheek’s talent as sub proves Chelsea match-winner
Jurgen Klopp’s side overcame Manchester City 3-2 in their semi-final on Saturday and they will now attempt to repeat their Carabao Cup final triumph over Chelsea from earlier this season.
The match ended goalless after extra time and Liverpool ended up beating Chelsea 11-10 on penalties after Kepa Arrizabalaga blazed his penalty over the bar.
And now Loftus-Cheek is aiming to get Liverpool back when the two sides face each other again at Wembley in the FA Cup final.
Loftus-Cheek said: “We saw [the game] yesterday and we want to get them back. Simple as that.
“I felt it was a fantastic game last time in the [Carabao Cup] final. It could have gone either way. So we’ll look forward to that and we’ll look forward to getting our revenge.”

The other goalscorer on Sunday, Mount, agreed with Loftus-Cheek and is ready to give Liverpool some “payback”.
Mount said after their victory over Crystal Palace: “It’s definitely time for us to win a final at Wembley. For myself I think it’s been five finals I’ve lost.
“So now we have to put the pressure on ourselves to step up and it’s going to be a tough game. We remember the last cup final we played very, very recently and now it’s time to get our payback.”
And Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel insisted that he and his players are “grateful” for another opportunity to win a trophy this season.
Tuchel said: “I don’t care about their other titles. We want to turn things around (against them) but it will not get us the Carabao Cup title back.
“We are here, we were here last season in the FA Cup Final in a game that means an unbelievable lot for us because it is the FA Cup, the most prestigious and most traditional cup in the world maybe and played at Wembley, so there are not a lot of bigger games to be a part of.
“That is why we are grateful and we will be well prepared because we play against one of the strongest teams in the world.”
