Manchester United have reportedly made a €10-15m per year salary offer to Barcelona forward Ousmane Dembele, who is out of contract this summer.
The France international’s future at the Nou Camp is up in the air after rejecting numerous contract offers from the La Liga club.
Fuss over Man Utd send-off for Jesse Lingard shows why Ralf Rangnick owes him nothing…
His time with Barcelona has been massively hampered by injuries after he signed for a whopping £126m from Borussia Dortmund in 2017.
Leaving on a free transfer at the end of the season would result in a huge loss for the Catalan club. Dembele was expected to leave in the January transfer window but stayed put and has been in good form for Xavi’s side since then.
Chelsea, Newcastle United, Manchester United, Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain have all been linked with the 24-year-old.
According to El Chiringuito TV (via The Hard Tackle), the Red Devils have made their move for Dembele, offering the winger a contract worth €10-15m per year.
They add that PSG have offered €17m a year to sign the Barcelona man.
United are set to lose a number of out-of-contract players at the end of the season. Jesse Lingard, Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic, Juan Mata and Edinson Cavani have all likely played their last game at Old Trafford for the Premier League club.

Speaking in February, Xavi said that he is hopeful Dembele will extend his stay at Barcelona.
“Ousmane’s contract is up in June and it’s a matter that’s between the club and him,” the Barca boss said. “I see him as being happy. He’s acting like a true professional. I’m very happy with him.
“Even when he knew he wasn’t in the squad, he’s been a model professional. I haven’t had the slightest problem with Ousmane.
“I’ve heard all sorts of things: that he hasn’t been professional and that he hasn’t looked after himself. I can tell you now that it’s the complete opposite, he’s looking after himself, is professional, has been training well, and is positive in and around the group.
“We’ll have to see what happens between now and the end of the season. It’s down to the club and it’s down to him. He’s an important player and one I like.”
