Trevor Sinclair has urged West Ham manager David Moyes to hand youngster Armstrong Oko-Flex his debut in Wednesday’s Carabao Cup clash against Man City.
Oko-Flex joined the Hammers in the summer from Scottish giants Celtic and is yet to feature in the first team this season.
The attacking player has starred for the club’s Under-23 side, netting seven goals in Premier League 2 so far, including a hat-trick against Man Utd on Saturday.

Former Hammer, Sinclair, is a big fan of the youngster and is hopeful that Moyes will hand him some game time against City at the London Stadium.
“I’d like to see a player called Armstrong Oko-Flex who has been playing really well for the Under 23s at West Ham,” Sinclair said on talkSPORT.
“Irish boy, he’s only 19 years old, [he’s a] real athlete, got a fantastic eye for goal. I’d like to see him get an opportunity, even if it’s on the bench and get him on for 20 minutes in these kinds of tournaments.”
With players like Manuel Lanzini, Andriy Yarmolenko and Nikola Vlasic eager for playing time, Oko-Flex may struggle to get onto the pitch.
If he is not used by Moyes on Wednesday evening, however, his chance will likely come at some point this season.
On Sunday, West Ham beat Tottenham 1-0 at the London Stadium thanks to a goal from Michail Antonio.
For the goal, Antonio admitted he was in a position to block Spurs striker Harry Kane, not to score.
“To be fair, I wasn’t really there to score today,” the 31-year-old said. “I was kind of there to block Harry.
“But the ball has come my way, being the poacher that I am, I stuck my foot out.
“I am not going to lie, I am surprised it went in. I kind of just got my foot there, just to get in front of him and it’s gone into the bottom corner.”
