Barcelona are “in talks” with Wolves over the signing of Tottenham target Adama Traore, according to reports.
Traore came through the Barcelona youth academy and made four appearances for the first team during his 11 years in Catalonia.
He left for Aston Villa in 2015 before joining Middlesbrough a year later. The Spaniard played over 70 times for Boro, signing for Wolves after two years at the club.
‘Harder, Harder, Cuthbert, Harder’? Not banter and not funny
The 26-year-old’s contract at Molineux is set to expire in 2023 and the winger has not accepted the Premier League club’s fresh terms.
A new deal has reportedly been on the table for 15 months. Traore was previously valued at around £50m but Wolves are now looking for £25m to let him leave.
He has been heavily linked with a move to Tottenham this month, with Sky Sports claiming last week that Spurs are “closing in” on a £20m deal.

The transfer seemed like an inevitability, however, Spanish journalist Gerard Romero claims that Barcelona will sign Traore barring an “unexpected twist”.
This news was confirmed by transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, who added that Barca are “in talks” with Wolves while they iron out certain details.
Traore is likely to sign on loan until the end of the season with Wolves ‘asking’ for a buy option to be included, as per Romano.
The La Liga club will cover the winger’s full wage and ‘all parties involved now working to complete the deal’.
Adama’s move to Spurs is currently on standby and have made ‘no fresh contacts’ with the player’s agents since his rumoured move to Barca surfaced.
Barca’s interest has been sparked by an injury to Ansu Fati and the drama surrounding Ousmane Dembele’s contract situation.
Dembele is out of contract at the end of the season and has been linked with Premier League sides Newcastle United and Chelsea.
